Mission

College of Accountancy

To provide quality education for future accountants through a student centered teaching program, enhanced faculty competence gained thru series of continuing professional education (CPE), highly competent research staff, and extension programs and linkages with various industries.

 

College of Commerce

To provide quality training for future entrepreneurs through a competent teaching staff and adequate exposure to actual business world, and boosted by the efficient management of its business-preparation program.

 

Goal

College of Accountancy

The College of Accountancy aims to produce graduates who are equipped with adequate technical knowledge, training and proficiency as entry level accountants capable of passing the CPA board examination and making positive contribution over their lifetime to the profession and society.

 

College of Commerce

The College of Commerce aims to produce quality and competent graduates who could easily find a job or be absorbed in the mainstream of the labor oriented sector and who have the capacity to grow and deal effectively with problems they will face as future economic managers.

 

Objectives

In pursuit of the stated vision, mission and goals, the College of Accountancy strives:

  1. To produce Certified Public Accountants who are well-rounded educated individuals and exponents of moral and Filipino cultural values.
  2. To equip the students with adequate technical knowledge, training and proficiency as entry level accountants thru curricular programs attuned and responsive to the local and global needs.
  3. To provide the students with the foundation for building additional knowledge, experience and with maturity, for acquiring qualities that enhance professional competence and integrity.
  4. To provide a continuing faculty development program.
  5. To establish linkages with various industries for student training and development.
  6. To conduct extension programs and researches which contribute to the improvement of the quality of life.

  1. To produce management and business practitioners who are well-rounded educated individuals and exponents of moral and Filipino cultural values.

To equip the students through curricular programs, the required knowledge and skills about business organization, how they function in the practical context of business environment, the managerial decision making process, and relevant matters and issues besetting the business world in the light of recent trends and developments.
  3. To provide formal development programs that encourage the faculty members to keep up with new knowledge and techniques in their field, improve their teaching skills and course materials and continue their professional growth.
  4. To conduct innovative and relevant researches that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and skills.
  5. To continue with outreach and extension programs that aim to improve the standard of living in the local community.
  6. To foster harmonious linkages with business establishments for on-the-job training (OJT) and possible employment of students.
  7. To establish alumni organization among Commerce graduates to promote self-growth and socio-economic involvement.
