The Urdaneta City University successfully conducted the “Curriculum Review and development” at the University Amphitheater on September 27, 2017.
The event aims to update the curricula of various programs in the university in accordance with the Revised Policy, Standards and Guidelines for each program as set by Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
During the event, Dr. Princess Sarah M. Quintana, the Chairman of SMART Resource Center highlighted the importance of SMART which is being incorporated in the new curriculum. The SMART brand stands for Service-driven, Motivated, Achievement-focused, Responsive and Transformed team player. It is the branding that the university wants to inculcate among its students.
The different heads of the colleges deliberated in details the revised curriculum of their departments.
Present in the discussion were the university’s stakeholders which include industry experts, community representatives, alumni, and parents who share their insight on the revised curriculum to be considered for further revisions.
The revised curriculum will be implemented on the next academic year.
