Urdaneta City University through the Center for Community Development and Extension Services (CCDES) launched the “Panagtaripatto Kadagiti Agtutubo” PTO Program, an opportunity which connects youth to service learning in the community.
The said project initiated on October 18, 2021 aims to activate and enhance the community participation and to value the spirit of service among the youth of Barangay Sugcong.
According to CCDES led by Director Jerry Dichoso, the activity is a venue for the youth beneficiaries to improve character values and responsible behaviors, to learn how to be respectful towards others and toward public service, and to develop awareness of healthy life choices.
14 selected junior and senior high school students from financially-challenged families were present at Don Clemente Blanco Memorial Elementary School for the orientation of the project.
The University recognizes its partnership with the Sugcong Barangay Council, the faculty members of DCBMES, and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company for the succession of project.
