CHED RO1 visits UCU to strengthen educational services

Urdaneta City University underwent a comprehensive evaluation and monitoring as a team of education supervisors from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office 1 conducted a thorough assessment in the institution’s academic services on November 23, 2023.

Five delegates from CHEDRO1 manned the inspection: Dr. Al Gerald S. Barde, Dr. Ricky A. Cera, Mr. Elvin E. Casem, Ms. Dessa Estrada, and Ms. Mitchellene V. Rivo.

The inspection covered various crucial aspects, including program offerings, tuition and other school fees, gender and development (GAD) initiatives, student services, and student financial assistance programs (STUFaps).

This proactive initiative from CHED is part of its commitment to ensuring the quality and accessibility of higher education institutions to its students.

UCU welcomed the visit as an opportunity for growth and improvement, expressing dedication to maintaining high educational standards.

The results of the evaluation had promising valuable insights for the continual enhancement of academic offerings and support services at the university.
