CTE conducts first-ever pinning rites

The College of Teacher Education, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, successfully held its first-ever virtual pinning ceremony at the Multimedia Office.

 

With the theme, "Reshaping Future Educators Braving the New Normal," the newest student-teachers were honored during an online ceremony via Facebook live, welcoming them into the teaching profession.

Dr. Ryan Jayson V. Delos Reyes, Acting CTE Dean, graced the event before the 479 pre-service teachers accepted the new responsibility symbolized in the Alma Mater Pin.

“Lahat ng bagay [ay] pinaghihirapan. ‘Di matamis ang tagumpay kapag walang paghihirap na nararanasan,” encouraged Delos Reyes as he formally welcomed everyone in the ceremony.

 

The event highlighted the laying down and acceptance of challenges and responsibilities to all student-teachers, both at elementary and secondary levels, preparing for the practice of the teaching profession.

This event marked another milestone for the college as they set their best foot forward and brave the new normal of education.
