UCU conducts E-Career Fair for graduating students

With the university’s aim to guide its students all throughout their journey even after finishing their education, the Psychological Assessment and Counseling Center (PACC) and the Center for Student Leadership and Development (CSLD), in coordination with PESO Urdaneta and DOLE Rosales, conducted an online job fair and orientation for the graduating students of UCU, with the title, “BRight UCUians: E-Career Fair 2022,” on June 6-7, 2022 via Facebook Live.

Aside from becoming an avenue for disseminating information on job vacancies of different companies nationwide, the E-Career Fair has also enriched and encouraged graduating UCUians through various speakers both from the university and partner agencies, with highlighted topics on the significance of one’s personality when looking for a job, how to craft an effective resume, some of the good practices in a workplace, career planning and coaching.

After all of the discussions, questions from the audience were entertained and answered. The OIC Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Josephine Lambinicio, and the OIC Vice-President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Racquel Pascua also showed their support to the said program. Ms. Monette Locquiao, the PACC Director closed the event, expressing her gratitude to all who have made the endeavor possible.

Dr. Nhorly U. Domenden, the CSLD Director and Dean of the College of Human Sciences addressed the soon-to-be graduates, quoting, “Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. And the harder you learn, the more important the lessons are. If you can't find opportunities elsewhere, create opportunities for yourselves. If an obstacle stands your way, let that obstacle be the way."
