In a historic and far-reaching initiative, Urdaneta City University (UCU) has embarked on a mission to champion global peace through education by establishing a strategic partnership with the Global Peace Foundation on November 17, 2023.
The momentous occasion was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at a ceremony attended by key representatives, Mr. Ingil Raincluding GPF ASEAN Representative, together with some of the Board Directors, Dr. Christine Nabor-Ferrer, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Director of Region 1 and Dr. Sonny Soriano, the Director of UCU External Affairs and Linkages.
Notably, the MOU signing was simultaneous with several other esteemed universities in the region, including Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College, Pangasinan State University, Unibersidad de Dagupan, University of Eastern Pangasinan, University of Pangasinan, University of Luzon, Lyceum Northwestern University, Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation, and WCC-Aeronautical and Technology College.
UCU is committed to developing innovative programs that incorporate peace education across disciplines, aiming to instill in students a sense of responsibility as global citizens, and this partnership aligns with the University’s vision of producing graduates with a profound understanding of their role in fostering global harmony.
