Urdaneta City University welcomed the holiday season with the vibrant celebration of Naraniag a Paskua—"A Bright Christmas"—on December 1, 2025. Now marking its fourth year, the tradition continues to grow brighter, filling the campus with warmth, light, and community spirit.
The festivities began with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the UCU Christmas Bazaar, followed by Christmas-themed performances from the UCU Orata Chamber Singers and the UCU Orata Dance Troupe. The evening reached its highlight with the ceremonial lighting of the university grounds, transforming the campus into a cheerful, glowing Christmas landscape.
During the program, UCU officials shared messages of reflection and gratitude:
Dr. Josephine S. Lambinicio, Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized the meaning of LOVE: “L – You light up someone’s life; O – We offer kindness and generosity; V – Let us value our families and friends; E – We have to embrace the spirit of joy.”
Atty. Michael Henry C. Sevilleja, OIC Vice President for Administrative Affairs, highlighted the heart of the celebration: "What is the essence of our celebration today? Peace with everyone; let us always promote peace."
Atty. Dar A. Diga, Chief Operating Officer, expressed his hope that the community will appreciate the new designs and landscapes across the campus. He extended his gratitude to all personnel who contributed to the event’s success.
Adding more excitement to the evening were the Christmas Tree and Village Competition and the Belen-making Contest. Winners will be announced during the Year-End Thanksgiving celebration of UCU employees.
The UCU Christmas Tunnel, campus grounds, and bazaar are open to families, friends, and visitors throughout the season.
