Job expo 2023 draws a huge crowd of career seekers

The two-day Career Enhancement Seminar and Job Expo 2023 attracted a number of participants from different academic programs at the University Gymnasium on May 9-10, allowing graduating students to gain valuable experiences and insights into the labor market.

The Career Enhancement and Job Expo 2023, which is now under the Admission, Retention, and Career Development Unit (ARCDU), has returned face-to-face to provide a platform for graduating students to showcase their skills, network with industry professionals, and explore promising career opportunities.

In collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Rosales Field Office and the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) Urdaneta, the Career enhancement seminar equipped participants with a range of workshops, talks, and counseling sessions, all with the purpose of building their careers, navigating the job search process and making informed decisions related to work.

Meanwhile, each participant donned their business attire for the Job Expo 2023, following the series of seminars on the first day. Throughout the day, employers from different companies and organizations engaged in lively conversations with the students, conducting on-the-spot interviews, reviewing resumes, and discussing potential job prospects.

"This event is an opportunity for our students to demonstrate their capabilities and connect with industry experts," said Prof. Flory Beltran, ARCDU head, on the importance of the said endeavor.

With its success, the university through ARCDU will further solidify its commitment to nurturing the next generation of professionals and facilitating seamless transitions from the academe to the workforce.
