Parayno commences Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony

Urdaneta City officially reopened its doors to express gratitude for a successful year during the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony outside the Old City Hall, December 1.

“Ngayong gabing ito, paiilawan natin ang simbolo ng siyudad ng Urdaneta,” pronounced City Mayor Julio “Rammy” F. Parayno III before his city people after surviving more than two years of foregoing fiesta celebrations due to pandemic restrictions.

Government sectors of Urdaneta and the academic community of Urdaneta City City showed their support in the Yule-tide celebration in the metro.

As compared to the star on top of the tree, Mayor Rammy hopes that Urdaneta City will have a brighter direction ahead. “Ngayon ang araw na susundan natin ang tala na iyan, susundan natin ang bituin na iyan,” he added.

A fireworks display was also witnessed immediately as the Christmas Tree was lit.
