UCU marks the start of holiday season with Christmas lighting and bazaar opening

Urdaneta City University officially welcomed the holiday season with a Christmas Lighting and Bazaar Opening ceremony on November 22, 2024 held at the university grounds, bringing together the UCUian community. 

 

The highlight of the evening was the grand lighting of the university’s Christmas tree and festive decorations, transforming the campus into a vibrant holiday wonderland. The Chief Operating Officer, Atty. Dar A. Diga led the lighting ceremony, emphasizing the significance of togetherness and gratitude during the season of giving.

 

Adding to the festivities, the Christmas Bazaar officially opened its doors, offering a wide array of local goods, artisanal crafts, and holiday treats. The bazaar, featuring student-led and community-based vendors, provides an excellent opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their products while fostering a sense of community spirit.

 

The evening also included musical performances from the UCU Chorale and a dance showcase by the UCU Performing Arts Group, spreading cheer and excitement among the attendees.

 

The Christmas Lighting and Bazaar will continue to be a cornerstone of UCU’s holiday traditions, bringing joy and fostering connections within the university and the wider community.
