WE ARE BACK-TO-BACK PHILIPPINE’S MOST INNOVATIVE UNIVERSITY!

Urdaneta City University is now the FIRST and ONLY Higher Education Institution to achieve a BACK-TO-BACK Most Innovative University in the Philippines title in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), outperforming universities and colleges across Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) in the country.

Among 96 countries, 1,927 institutions, and 13,211 innovative programs, UCU secured:

RANK 28 in the Global Top 500 Innovative Universities
RANK 1 among Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines
RANK 1 among Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) nationwide
RANK 1 in Region 1
RANK 1 in Pangasinan

UCU also excelled in 21 out of 24 WURI categories, with all entries placing within the Global Top 100 — an outstanding achievement that further positions the University among the world’s most innovative institutions.

From Rank 281 in 2024, Rank 44 in 2025, and now Rank 28 in 2026, Urdaneta City University continues to raise the bar in innovation — emerging as one of the leading local universities in the Philippines and making its mark on the global stage.
