Urdaneta City University unveils official logo, theme, and centerpiece today, February 2, 2026 at the University Quadrangle, for the upcoming week-long celebration of its 60th Founding Anniversary set from February 23, 2026 to February 27, 2026.

Guided by this year’s theme “Transcending Limitations,” UCU celebrates six decades of self-mastery, growth, and purpose— going beyond what we are, for ourselves and for others. This milestone marks our collective readiness to rise higher, break boundaries, and shape a future defined by excellence and service.

From humble beginnings to becoming a premier academic hub, UCU’s journey is built on academic excellence, community impact, and an unwavering commitment to character formation, knowledge advancement, and skills development.

At 60, UCU remains bold, driven, and ready to do more.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Josephine S. Lambinicio, highlighted that love and unity are at the core of the institution saying, Your Bright future starts here “...because of love, we are here,” expressed through collaborative learning, a shared vision of excellence, and empowerment through knowledge.

Vice President for Administrative Affairs Atty. Michael Henry C. Sevilleja, underscored the importance of honoring UCU’s legacy by continuing good practices and setting a strong example for future generations.

Chief Operating Office Atty. Dar A. Diga, reflected on the university’s humble beginnings and steady progress, recognizing the collective efforts of past and present employees, supervisors, and leaders whose dedication enabled UCU to overcome challenges and achieve its current status.

“...we’ve been through a lot, from our small beginning until what we have today as of status… and we would not have reached this point if not for the people who really worked hard behind it,” Atty. Diga said.

“I would like to express my appreciation to everyone, not only the leaders of today but also to all those who contributed greatly, pushing the university to transcend its limitations and become what it is now, “ he added.

The week-long celebration will feature parades, competitions, cultural and wellness activities, music and sports events, and will culminate in grand showcases and recognition nights honoring excellence and leadership.
