UCU celebrates its 56th Foundation Anniversary highlighting its role as a deer

Urdaneta City University has remained persistent in showing resilience and perseverance despite the various challenges it addresses every year. UCU centered its celebration on its continuing stories of resilience in light of the present struggles amidst the CoVID-19 Pandemic. Activities will be done virtually and through small gatherings strictly following health protocols.

UCU honored its 56th year of existence by becoming a “deer.” This symbolizes the 56th Foundation Anniversary theme, “Cultivating Change.” UCU acts with the deer’s characteristics. They prove that it is not only the strongest nor the most intelligent species that survive, but also the ones that are most responsive to changes.

Despite the pandemic, UCU continued to cater to students, giving them opportunities and being intuitive as to the revolutionary changes needed in the system of education. The University’s years of service are consistently firm, and its unfathomable dedication in providing quality education for the students conquering its goal towards a progressive change.

Different offices and organizations prepared activities for the celebration of the 56th Foundation Anniversary. This year’s festivities will showcase the student’s creativity, knowledge, self-trust, and above all, their commitment to strive harder in all endeavors they do.

As part of the celebration, different programs will participate in “UCU Got Talent” which aims to showcase the talents of different students through various performances, which will be held on March 29, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the University Gymnasium. Moreover, “Academic Challenge” will be held to engage students on their academic brilliance competing with other departments on March 30, 2022, at 9:00 AM with the same venue.

Another activity that highlighted the celebration will be the “Coronation Night” on March 30, 2022, at 5:00 PM at the University Gymnasium. Urdaneta City University keeps on rising above all the challenges, and no one can stop committing to its values and purpose through showcasing the beauty and best talents. UCU never stops crowning the success of every student.

Apart from the aforementioned activities, students will also participate in the journey to a fast-hands game of hero skills with the “Mobile Legends Tournament” on March 29-30 for the semi-finals and March 31, 2022, for the finals that will be held at UCU Orata Building.

The final and the most anticipated part of the celebration will be the “Pedro T. Orata awards and Variety Show’s awards on March 31, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the University Gymnasium.
