UCU, PPPO inks partnership; to launch 2025 student leaders’ crime prevention camp

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formally signed between the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) and Urdaneta City University (UCU) today– May 7, 2025, at the UCU Audio Visual Room (AVR), marking a significant step toward strengthening youth engagement in crime prevention efforts.

 

The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office was represented by Provincial Director, PCOL Rollyfer J. Capoquian, and PLTCOL Buenaventura DG. Benavides III, Chief of the Police Community Affairs and Development Unit, during the signing of the agreement.

 

Representing UCU were Dr. Josephine S. Lambinicio, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Atty. Michael Henry C. Sevilleja, Vice President for Administrative Affairs; and Prof. Eleuterio S.C. Sison, President of the Urdaneta City University Personnel Association (UCUPA).

 

The MOA outlines the joint implementation of the Student Leaders’ Summer Camp 2025: Student Crime Prevention Council. The program will focus on critical areas such as crime prevention, cybercrime and digital safety, basic life support, drug education, and their vital role as members of the Student Crime Prevention Council (SCPC). Personnel from Pangasinan Police Provincial Office will serve as resource speakers and facilitators for the various sessions.

 

The said upcoming crime prevention camp is in adherence to CHED Memorandum Order No. 42, series of 2005, which mandates the active involvement of student councils and student leaders in Crime Prevention Awareness Programs.#
