Urdaneta City University (UCU) reached another milestone in its commitment to academic excellence as it received a Consolidated Certification from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office I on November 7, 2025, confirming that all 32 undergraduate programs of the university currently hold valid Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC).
The ceremonial turnover of the certification was held in a program that highlighted both academic achievement and cultural pride. The consolidated certification, issued by CHED Region I, is a significant step toward streamlining verification processes and ensuring uniform referencing of program compliance status across UCU offices. It likewise simplifies documentary requirements for institutional operations and future accreditation initiatives.
The program featured a Cultural Showcase: Celebrating Excellence and Unity, with vibrant performances from the Orata Dancers and a moving inspirational song from the UCU Chorale. The DBC also returned for a stirring rendition of “Triumph and Pride,” symbolizing the university’s collective achievement.
The highlight of the afternoon was the Awarding and Recognition Ceremony, where Dr. Christine Nabor-Ferrer, Regional Director of CHED Region I, formally presented the Certificate of 100% COPCs Compliance to UCU.
This recognition further strengthens UCU’s position as one of the leading universities in Region I, continuing to uphold its vision of excellence and service for the Filipino learner.#
