In a bid to equip graduating IT students with essential skills and knowledge, the College of Information and Technology Education organized a culminating seminar titled Project FIIP on June 29, 2023 at the Mini Gymnasium.
Project FIIP aimed to address the holistic development of IT graduates, emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being alongside technical expertise. Leading the discussions on emotional well-being was Mr. Khrys Laurence Bautista, the campus director of Every nation Campus, delved into topics such as stress management, work-life balance, and building resilience to help IT graduates navigate the often-demanding nature of the industry.
Furthermore, attendees had the opportunity to learn about building a strong professional network from Mr. Lawrence Viduya, associate technology consultant, emphasized the significance of connections and showcased effective networking strategies, providing invaluable advice on how to establish meaningful relationships within the industry.
Mr. Aljohn Deguzman, software engineering associate manager, guided the students on identifying their career aspirations, setting achievable goals, and crafting effective resumes and cover letters. He also shed light on interview techniques and shared insights into the IT job market, offering practical advice for securing coveted positions.
