Comelec releases SC officers; Supreme Party to govern exec posts

 

SC elections 2021 results are out!

The Student Council Commission on Elections on Thursday, November 25, released the official and final results of the Student Council Elections 2021 after the three-day online voting held last November 22-25.

Out of 14,583 students, 8,424 cast their votes, giving a total of 54.41% voters’ turnout for this year’s elections lower than last year’s 62.73% voters’ turnout.

Supreme Party’s presidential bet Jediah Mae Usana (BS Criminology) secured the SC highest post this year after gaining 4,615 votes over Jayson Tabal (BSEd-English), who garnered a total of 3,613 votes.

 

She will lead and represent the student body in the UCU Board of Regents, succeeding the outgoing President Nicole Anne Dayrit.

 

Usana’s executive slate ruled in their respective positions.

Mark Angelo Maramag (BS Architecture) is the SC vice president with 7,188 votes; Mariele Manlongat (BS Nursing) is the SC secretary with 7, 112 votes; John Isiah Gandia (BSE- Social Studies) is the new SC Treasurer with 7,286 votes; Jon Bon Scottie Vinluan (BS Nursing) is the new SC auditor with 6,982 votes; and Kurt Steven Vinluan is the new SC public relations officers with 7, 152 votes.

 

The Supreme Partylist also dominated the college representative positions.

 

These are Ma. Jozel Godoy of the College of Teacher Education, Alyssa Faith Serafica of the College of Human Sciences, King Victor Ramos of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Jeremy Singh of the College of Criminal Justice Education, Zea Louisse Pedeglorio of the College of Engineering and Architecture, Rainer Castañeda of the College of Pharmacy, Nika Angela Redulfin of the College of Business Management and Accountancy, Alexine Juliana Ocampo of the College of Health Sciences.

 

Meanwhile, independent candidates Majay Angelo Magno of the College of Arts and Sciences and Patricia Nicole Venturina of the College of Information and Technology Education will join the administration to lead the student body.

 

The newly-elected SC officials will take their oath on December 03, 2021, to officially start their term in office for the academic year 2021-2022.
