The College of Teacher Education (CTE) celebrated nutrition month on July 29, 2022, at the Audio-visual Room, as part of the nationwide campaign of promoting health and wellness among community members.
Bearing with the theme, “Healthy diet, gawing habit for life,” CTE ventured into various activities promoting the importance of a balanced diet to the overall individual well-being.
Simultaneous events and contests were conducted in the university which include Nutri-quiz, poster-making, slogan-making, cook fest, and Nutri-jingle facilitated and administered by faculty members of CTE.
As prime movers of quality education, CTE calls for collective efforts to build a resilient community through scaled-up nutritional awareness and education that can impact people’s productivity and ability to cope with environmental stressors.
The said celebration was originally scheduled on July 27 but had been moved to July 29 as part of the university safety measures after a magnitude 7 earthquake struck northern provinces including Pangasinan.
