UCU celebrates International Women’s Day

Urdaneta City University's Gender and Development Office took the lead in celebrating International Women's Day on March 8, 2024, under the theme "Juana, Ikaw ang Bida!"

"Kapehan ni Juana" offered a delightful spread of free pandesal and coffee, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for students and faculty alike.

Prof. Flory C. Beltran, the head of GAD, emphasized the event's goal to honor and recognize the significant contributions of women in society, with a particular focus on their role within the university.

The UCU Student Council took charge of organizing a poster-making and chalk art competition, showcasing the creative talents of the university community.

Adding to the festivities, La Casa De Orata Productions and the victorious bands from Pasiklaband 2.0, namely Stage Bosses, Didas Kalos, and Iustitia Band, captivated the audience with multiple stellar performances.

The International Women's Day celebration at UCU stands as a testament to the university's commitment to empowering womanhood.

UCU continues to foster an environment that not only recognizes but actively celebrates the strength, resilience, and achievements of women.
