UCU kicks off new academic year

Urdaneta City University kicked off its new academic year with a special program entitled, “First Day High under the Sky!” arranged for UCUian first year students and transferees on August 12, 2024 held at the university grounds. 

The endeavor showcased remarkable talents from the UCU Dance Troupe, UCU La Casa de Orata Chamber Singers, and UCU Drum and Bugle Corps. Their performances captivated the audience, demonstrating that excellence at UCU extends far beyond the classroom.

Following the welcome performance, students eagerly mingled and explored the various booths set up by student organizations at the UCU Forest. These organizations offer a range of activities that balance academic and non-academic pursuits, providing opportunities for students to grow holistically and achieve success in all aspects of their lives.

Despite occasional rain showers, the UCU community’s enthusiasm remained undampened. Students continued the celebrations with optimism, embracing the new beginnings, aspirations, and dreams that the academic year promises.
