Urdaneta City University reinforced its commitment to life-ready education through the seminar, “Empowering Financial Resilience: Smart Decisions in Times of Economic Uncertainty” held at the University Amphitheater on April 29, 2026.

The program equipped participants with practical skills in budgeting, saving, and financial planning to better manage resources in a volatile economy.

Expert-led sessions highlighted key dimensions of financial literacy: LTC Marco R. Publico of the Philippine Military Academy discussed strategies for sustaining financial stability; Dr. Frisiana E. Sabado explained the time value of money and its long-term impact; and Dr. Adoure Fran V. Mangalus tackled decision-making and risk propensity.

Combining insights with applied activities, the initiative encouraged responsible financial habits and informed decision-making.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the seminar supports SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production)—reinforcing the university’s commitment to developing financially resilient and empowered individuals.
