UCU names new LPTs

 

Urdaneta City University-College of Teacher Education produced 26 elementary teachers and 31 secondary teachers after the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially posted the rosters of the January 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) passers on March 11, 2022.

For elementary teachers, UCU recorded a passing rate of 57.78 percent over 56.90 percent national passing rate. The secondary teachers got a 75 percent passing rate for first timers, and a 60.87 passing rate for retakers. Overall, UCU garnered a 68. 87 percent passing rate for secondary LET passers over the 54.29 percent national passing rate.

According to the PRC and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT), elementary teachers recorded a 55.66 percent passing rate, as 15,699 took the exam. Secondary teachers recorded 53.77 percent of the 22,454 applicants passed this batch of LET.

 

Out of 8,737 elementary teacher passers, 2,678 are first time examinees while 6,059 are repeat examiners. In the 12, 074 secondary LET passers, 4,652 of which are first timers and 7,422 are repeatexaminers.
