Urdaneta City University (UCU) officials visited the delegates of the UCU Knights Reborn competing in the 14th Local Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (LCUAA) National Games held at the City College of San Jose Del Monte (CCSJDMC) in Bulacan on October 22, 2025.
The delegation led by Atty. Dar A. Diga, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Josephine S. Lambinicio, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Atty. Michael Henry C. Sevilleja, Vice President for Administration, Atty. Adrianne Ivory G. Noble, Board of Regents Secretary, Jovelyn S. Rivera-De Leon, University Librarian, Kenn D. Pangan, Executive Assistant to the VP for Administration, Jeffrey M. Caoile, University Student Council Adviser, and the Dean of the College of Teacher Education, Ryan Jayson V. Delos Reyes.
The visit aimed to check the status and well-being of UCU athletes and their trainers/coaches, as well as to personally assess the team’s quarters located at Minuyan Elementary School, where the Knights Reborn are staying during the week-long competition.
During their visit, the officials also met with CCSJDMC President Dr. Roger S. Ambida and LCUAA officials to discuss ongoing updates and developments related to the national games.
Adding a personal touch to the visit, the UCU delegation surprised Dr. Hilarion Olimpo, UCU’s Sports Coordinator and Head Coach of the Knights Reborn, with a birthday cake on October 21, in recognition of his dedication and leadership in guiding the university’s athletes.
The 14th LCUAA National Games runs from October 19 to 25, 2025.
The presence of university officials at the national event underscored UCU’s continued support and commitment to the holistic development of its student-athletes, promoting excellence both in academics and sportsmanship.
