UCU participates in SDG-focused conference, co-organizes RISE 2025: ICREATE-IMPACT

Urdaneta City University co-organized the RISE 2025: ICREATE-IMPACT, a 3-day global research and exhibits conference on May 28–30, 2025 at WCC Aeronautical and Technological College, Binalonan, Pangasinan.

 

The event, titled Research Innovation for Sustainable Education (RISE) 2025 - 2nd International Conference on Research and Exhibits on Aviation, Aeronautics, Tourism, Engineering and Education: Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Presentation Advancing SDG-Focused Collaboration and Technological Innovation (ICREATE-IMPACT), aimed to provide a dynamic venue for researchers, educators, graduate students, college students, and industry professionals to engage in discourse, present studies, and exchange best practices across disciplines.

 

Dr. Christine Nabor-Ferrer, Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education - Regional Office 1, delivered an inspirational talk on “The Role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Achieving the SDGs.”

 

Dr. Jude William Genilo, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts - Bangladesh, led Plenary Talk 1 on “Key Challenges and Opportunities for Industry and Academic Development in relation to Research Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.”

 

Dr. Gaurang Rami from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University - India, delivered Plenary Talk 2 on “Interdisciplinary Research and Industry Collaboration as Catalysts for SDG-Driven Innovation.”

 

Dr. Mosharrof Hosen, Senior Lecturer at Taylor’s University - Malaysia, discussed “Overview of SDGs and the Role of HEIs in Sustainable Development” in Plenary Talk 3.

 

Dr. Raymundo D. Rovillos, President of Pangasinan Polytechnic College, presented Plenary Talk 4 on “Culture and Creativity as Drivers for Sustainable Development.”

 

Mr. Gomer Gomez, Bank Officer II of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, gave Plenary Talk 5 titled “Digital Finance and Green Banking: Innovations for a Sustainable Future.”

 

On the second and third days, UCU Deans, Program Heads, Faculty members, and Researchers participated as presenters in academic fields such as Education, Technology, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Criminal Justice Education, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Engineering, and Business Management.#
