Vaccination for children aged 5-11 rolled out

The City of Urdaneta commenced its COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 started since February 15, 2022.

The Department of Health (DOH) launched the “Chikiting 5 to 11 years old COVID-19 Bakunahan” in coordination with the City Health Office (CHO) of Urdaneta.

Clowns, mascots, and superhero characters, such as Spider-man entertained the young vaccinees at the vaccination sites, including: Magic Mall Annex, SM City Urdaneta Central, and CB Mall Urdaneta.

Dr. Isabel O. Asuncion, University Physician, said that it is essential that children be vaccinated to protect their health and safety against the deadly virus as we begin to reopen our schools and face-to-face classes.

Local government units and parents are highly encouraged to ramp up and continue pre-registering their children to ensure many kids get vaccinated against COVID-19.
