CHED Regional Office 1 visited the Urdaneta City University to conduct a consultation and technical assistance on program compliance and research ethics on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Dr. Danilo S. Bose, OIC and Regional Director of CHED RO1, expressed that quality is the mandate of uplifting the standards in higher education.
"We are here in the name of quality. Sabi nga nila, quality is never an accident, but is the product of careful execution. And part of that careful execution is our presence today. We are here to remind, as your partner, in the name of quality tertiary education. So kung meron man kami na mga observations, please open your minds, open your hearts for that recommendation because we know that UCU is also after quality tertiary education," appealed Bose.
Ten delegates from the regional office were assigned to facilitate and evaluate each area of academic concern through a series of breakout sessions.
Acting University President Atty. Dar A. Diga led in the supervision of the event, together with Dr. Josephine S. Lambinicio, OIC for the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Raquel D. Pascua, OIC for the Office of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, and other deans and directors.
