Fire Prevention Month

Fires can cause widespread damage to properties, contribute to significant impacts on the environment, and even result in hundreds of thousands of deaths every year worldwide.

In the Philippines, thousands of lives and billions of properties are lost every year due to fire, often caused by negligence and lack of preparedness.

This March, the nation observes the Fire Prevention Month under Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A, issued on November 17, 1966, by then President Ferdinand E. Marcos. This observance aims to increase public awareness about fire prevention, making every home and community safe, resilient, and fire-free.
