The Professional Regulation Commission conducted an Ocular Inspection and Monitoring (OIM) of the BS Architecture program at Urdaneta City University on September 27, 2023.
Deemed vital to maintaining quality control and standards in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs), the PRC ensured to review the compliance of the Architecture Program to increase UCU’s board ratings and produce more architects.
The inspection team was led by Hon. Corazon V. Fabia-Tandoc, a member of the PRB of Architecture (PRBOA), with the assistance of Ms. Babylinda O. Reyes, Chief Regulations Officer I of PRC Regional Office I.
On the other hand, UCU officials welcomed the PRC officials including Dr. Josephine S. Lambinicio, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Engr. Lorena R. Angulo, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture; Ar. Russell Niels V. Meimban, Program Head of BS Architecture; Mr. Danilo Dorado, Executive Assistant in the Center for Innovation and Quality Management, and faculty members from the Architecture Department.
The inspection team scrutinized the following areas: professional, ethical, and technical standards of practice, curriculum, faculty, library, facilities, and the overall administration of the Architecture program.
Tandoc commended UCU for its immersion and Building Information Management (BIM) – CAD03 courses.
Also, PRBOA Fabia-Tandoc released a recommendation report for the release of the Certificate of Compliance (COC) for its complete compliance during the inspection.
