UCU-CCJE confirms class BAGANI 2024 in ring hop ceremony

With the theme, “Empowering Criminology Graduates through Skills and Discipline" the UCU College of Criminal Justice Education conducted its ring hop ceremony or its traditional turnover ceremony, for class BAGANI of 2024 on June 21, 2024 at the University Gymnasium.

Guest of Honor and Speaker, PLTCOL Lawrence Keith D. Calub, the Chief of Police of Urdaneta City addressed the BAGANI class, underscoring the importance of values and skills in the field of criminology, but what holds these two together is ‘discipline’ inspiring the intern-students to carry the advice into their professional lives.

“As future Criminologists, it is your responsibility to uphold the values: integrity, diligence, and ethical conduct in all of your endeavors. The skills you have acquired through your rigorous training serve as your foundation which will build your career and make a positive impact on society.”

“However, skills are not enough. Discipline is the key that unlocks your true potential, and ensures that you stay focused, resilient, and dedicated to your goals. In the face of challenges and adversity, it is your discipline that will carry you through, guiding you always towards success and excellence in your undertakings,” PLTCOL Calub added.

Mr. Oswaldo P. Lapeña, the Internship Coordinator, presented the Criminology Intern (CI) graduates, highlighting the practical experiences and challenges the interns faced to prepare them for their future roles in law enforcement and public safety.

Afterwhich, Mr. Joseph D. Miranda, the Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), confirmed the CI graduates. This confirmation marked the official recognition of the students' achievements and their readiness to embark on their professional journeys.

This endeavor is to commemorate its Criminology Intern-Students, which are all candidates for graduation, and their hardships during their four-year journey in the institution. The ceremony also aims to give honor to the sacrifices and support of the parents and loved ones of the graduating students.
