Urdaneta City University united in the spirit of gratefulness as the community came together to commemorate Fathers’ Day on June 16, 2023.
The Center for Student Leadership and Development, UCU Personnel Association, and Student Council organized a whole-day celebration, honoring fathers, father figures, and mentors who have played a significant role in shaping the lives of countless individuals within the academic community.
CSLD hosted a new episode of BaliTalk that featured renowned guest speakers who shared their experiences, insights, and anecdotes about fatherhood. To add an element of excitement, a raffle draw was held during the talk show. Lucky attendees had the opportunity to win prizes generously sponsored by the UCUPA.
Apart from the talk show and raffle draw, the Father's Day celebration also highlighted a variety of parlor games, fostering a sense of camaraderie among the attendees. The games were designed to entertain both fathers and the other university personnel, creating memorable moments of laughter and friendly competition.
Chief Operating Officer Atty. Dar A. Diga, in his speech during the event, highlighted the invaluable role fathers play in shaping future generations and expressed gratitude for their dedication and love. He emphasized the importance of fostering strong family bonds and creating an environment that nurtures the growth and development of children.
The event concluded with a heartfelt message from the event organizers, encouraging everyone to continue cherishing and expressing their love and gratitude for fathers and father figures, not just on Father's Day but throughout the year
