In celebration of National Heritage Month, Urdaneta City University, spearheaded by the Center for Student Leadership and Development, among other collaborative university units, hosted "KULTURA, IDI KEN ITA: A Gender-Fair Cultural Fest" on June 28, 2024 held at the University Gymnasium.
With the aim to highlight and honor Philippine culture, the fest featured a talk and lecture which provided attendees insightful perspectives on the nation’s rich heritage. Following the lecture, a series of cultural activities and contests took place including, a poster-making contest, Kultura Film Festival, vocal solo competition, folk dance competition, and Kultura fashion competition. Additionally, traditional Filipino games, known as "Laro ng Lahi," were part of the festivities, allowing participants to experience and enjoy these cultural pastimes.
The endeavor promoted a celebration of embracing our country’s vibrant cultural heritage in a gender-fair environment.
