Urdaneta City University strengthened its push for quality, gender-responsive education with the launch of the G.R.A.C.E. Nexus Seminar Series at the University Amphitheatre on May 4, 2026, gathering students, faculty, and staff for dialogue on equality and empowerment.

The four-part initiative—Gender Responsiveness, Awareness, and Community Empowerment—integrates gender discourse into UCU’s academic framework, shaping graduates who are both competent and socially aware.

Atty. Mhelanie C. William led the keynote session, discussing women’s empowerment, leadership, and breaking systemic barriers. She also clarified Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression (SOGIE), emphasizing respect, inclusion, and non-discrimination in school and community spaces.

An open forum enabled participants to engage and deepen understanding.

Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), the initiative advances UCU’s commitment to an equitable academic community.

Webinar sessions continue from May 5 to 6, expanding conversations on gender equality and empowerment.#
