UCU, Urdaneta City commemorate PH independence

Imbibing the spirit of nationalism and unity, the Urdaneta City University joined the City of Urdaneta in commemorating the 125th anniversary of Philippine Independence with a grand flag-raising ceremony on June 12, 2023.

A sense of pride and camaraderie filled the air as officials and employees of UCU and Local Government Unit of Urdaneta  gathered at the People’s Park, honoring the sacrifices and achievements of the country's founding fathers while emphasizing the importance of freedom, unity, and national identity.

Reflecting on the significance of the event, the Urdaneta City mayor, Hon. Julio Parayno III, delivered a poignant speech that reflected on the struggles and triumphs of the nation's journey towards independence. Mayor Parayno emphasized the importance of unity, urging his constituents to cherish the freedom they to make a difference in the society.
