History
Urdaneta City University paved its way in building opportunities through the establishment of engineering programs in 2007.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) opened with a hope for better structural dreams of its students. It started with 11 students in 2007 and slowly increased to 27 in 2009.
Through the leadership of Engr. Woody G. Erama as the dean, and Engr. Geronimo A. Carvajal and Engr. Antonio G. Bato III as program heads, the College of Engineering and Architecture had firmer foundations giving new opportunities with its new programs. These are the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE), Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE), Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), and Bachelor of Science in Architecture (BSArch).
In 2010, the Commission on Higher Education started issuing permits or Authority to operate on engineering programs. It is a significant achievement for the college as it produced its first three graduates of the BSCE program. One of them successfully passed the board examination and garnered a 100% board passing rate for the college.
In February 2013, CHED issued government recognitions to BSEE and BSCE programs followed by Levels II and III for the BSME and Level III BSECE, BSCpE, and BSArch programs.
The college is now on its fast-growing population and aims to strive for academic excellence continuously. It can produce more engineers and architects, catering to the needs and demands of engineering and architectural services both locally and abroad.
