History

The College of Computer Studies humbly began as a Computer Department of Urdaneta Community College (UCC). The initiatives and leaderships of its former department heads made it possible to pioneer and open two-year programs, namely: Computer Secretarial (Comp Sec) and Associate in Computer Science (ACS), which is then renamed as Associate in Computer Technology (ACT).

In 2006, when the community college claimed its university status as Urdaneta City University, the Computer Department also upgraded into a full-fledged  College of Computer Studies (CCS) due to its population increase. Tantamount to this achievement, CCS offered a four-year Bachelor in Information Technology along with the two-year Associate in Computer Technology.

The college has gained tremendous national android development accomplishments, society-based IS developments, and research-based IT developments. In September 2019, the college reached another milestone and became the College of Information and Technology Education (CITE). At present, the college offers two bachelor programs, namely: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS).
